Cheerleading Champions 2012 Heidelberg

March 17th (St.Patty's Day) 2012 was the best day of my life and this is my cheer story of my first competition ever!

6:00 am ~ Every Heidelberg cheerleader had to be at the Mannheim Sports Center to do hair, uniform checks, practice, and coach's meeting. Everyone was tired and sore from practice the night before and was very nervous and excited.

8:00 am~ Everyone looked Worlds Cheer ready and we hit the road by walking over to the competition gym. When we first got there, we had certain seating for all Heidelberg personal cheer squad. The nerves were starting to come in for me as I looked all around and I saw the mat, trophies, and other teams. I really did not know what to expect and I for sure had the butterflies.

9:00 am ~ There were two age divisions there. The Bantams(10-12 yr) and the Juniors(13-14 yr). Each town had one Bantam team and one Junior team. The teams were all from Northern Europe in places such as Ansbauch, Baumholder, and Stuttgart. The Bantams went first in the competition and they were adorable! They were definitely not as high tech when it came to stunts compared to the Juniors but they had cute dances. Heidelberg Bantams went and my squad went crazy cheering for them. They had amazing dances and good stunts. There also was an Ansbauch Bantam team that went and they had crazy good stunts for their age group. We all new they would get first for their hello cheer ( your first dance/stunt performance when your on the mat.)

11:00 am~ It was lunch break and all of the Bantam teams had performed amazingly. I was now starting to get very nervous. All Junior teams were stretching around the gym performing all of their kicks, splits, and stunts to impress the other teams. After watching a German All Star team perform for the audience (our fans:) we watched as the Schinen( Netherlands) team walked in. All of our jaws dropped.- These girls looked like All Stars. We all didn't know who they were because we couldn't see their name on their uniform. When I saw Schinen at the bottom of the skirts I was shocked. I remembered them cheering on the other side at our first game and they had old uniforms so we felt bad for them. But I also remembered that two girls on that teams could do back handsprings.........

11:30 am ~ Every Junior team is waiting to perform except for Schinen, who were stretching because they came late. While we were talking and making sure we had everything, I saw out of the corner of my eye a girl do a back tuck. I looked back again with my full two eyes and saw two girls do a back hand spring and in that moment I froze. In my head I was thinking, " That's it. They just stole 1st place from us." I ran out of the gym and to the lobby to cry. One of my friends on the squad came out to talk to me because she knew how nervous I was. Then our friend from school came and cheered  us up by telling us we were gonna do great. I stopped crying, but I was still nervous as crap. I felt like I was going to explode.

12:40 ~ My team was second to perform which at first, I thought that would suck, but really it turned out in our favor. We had to go to team inspection to make sure we had no jewelry or "dangerous" barrettes in our hair. Since we were Army civilians we had to have our ID cards to make sure we were in the right age group and that we weren't German. One of the girls found her ID card last minute which was really scary. Than we practiced for 5 minuets in the practice room. It didn't go that great because one of our stunts wobbled and one of our front walk over girls could barely turn. It was show time....This was it...... There was no going back!

1:00 ~ PERFORMANCE TIME! The announcer called out Heidelberg and we ran and fired up to the mat. We were all in are ready positions but suddenly the music acted weird. It would start off late or it was the wrong song so we have to restart about 3 times which was horrible because are nerves would keep coming back. Finally, the music started and we danced our hearts out! We hit all of our stunts with PERFECTION and we were all on cue and tight. Then we even hit are bow and arrow so perfect the crowd went crazy! We hit our chants and we had a great crowd because all of our friends came out to support us. Then we performed are second dance and we were right on the counts! When are music ended I went crazy! I hugged one of my best friends who hit her stunt perfectly and ran back to pick up my sign. I felt amazing!

1:30 ~ It was performance time for Schinen, our main competition. We all almost peed in our pants when we heard their name. We were praying they were only half as good as they looked. In one of their first cheers their stunt fell, which gets lots of deduction points. Then, out of know where, when they were doing their dance a girl threw up on the mat! We were all horrified. When they finished their routine, none of them seemed happy, and almost all of the girls were crying, and they were sad tears.

Schinen came back to sit down, I felt so bad for them I went over and talked to them. They were the sweetest girls ever and we began chatting away easily. I was glad we liked each other because we knew we were each others competition, so know matter who won, we would be happy.

3:30 ~ It was the awards ceremony, I was so excited but nervous all at once. We all sat around the mat and all the teams held each others hands when they called out awards. This is how awards go-There are 3 categories. Hello Cheer, Spirit Cheer, and Team Dance. There's a 3rd,2nd, and 1st place for each category and an over all 1st place trophy for the Bantams and Juniors. It was Bantams awards first. We were so excited for the Heidelberg girls. They got second place in Spirit Cheer and 1st place in Hello Cheer! Then it was Juniors time. I was so scared. The first category was Hello Cheer and we got 2nd. I was really happy but I probably thought that Schinen was gonna win now. Then it was Spirit Cheer category. Schinen got called up second and we got first! I was so excited, now I thought we had a chance to win over all. They called out Team Dance which also means you were the top over all if you got first. 3rd place- Stuttgart, 2nd place- SCHINEN (right there in that moment we knew we won) and 1st Place...... Heidelberg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every girl and coach on the team cried tears of joy. We were so ecstatic! Then we got our pictures taken with our trophies and we felt like celebrities. We felt so good! We knew all of our hard work had paid off and I could not stop smiling!!!!!!

This was the story of the best day of my life!
I have to ask my coach first(Army restriction thing), but we will put the competition video up on YouTube so that everyone can watch it.

"A good cheerleader is not measured by the height of her jumps but the span of her spirit."

I had my first basketball game with my cheer squad, it was amazing! Our halftime was awesome and people loved us! I can not wait for next week because we are going to the Netherlands to cheer! GO HEIDELBERG!!!!!!!!!

What It Feels Like to Be a Nerd

You could definitely call me a nerd right now..... I have glasses that are taped on one side because James broke them, and now I have a ginormous retainer in my mouth, which I have to wear for 14 hours a day (which includes night time so it's not too bad), and my hair is super frizzy and curly right now.... Great! Just what I need!!!!! I think I have the worse gene pool ever!!!!!!!!

Germany.vs.USA

Yes, I know it has been a while since I've posted, but everytime I get a chance my mom always steals them from me. So I thought it would be fun to compare things from Germany to the U.S.A.. So I am starting with common diffrences.

                USA:Gemany
public school : DODEA school
yellow school bus: City/tour bus
neighboorhoods: army base/ german neighboorhood
english/spanish people :german/english/italian/chinese
malls: haupstraBes
soda: german kinderjuice and german sodas( really different because of the weird sugar.)
us dollars: euro
( my least favorite) Wal-mart , Target, Ben & Jerrys, movie theaters, regular indoor malls, Barnes and Nobles, Claries, Aeropostale, Hollister, Best Buy, Coldstone;all replaced with stupid german stores like OBI ( german Home Depot) and european Claries, and gelatos for ice cream.

Well, there you have it, the diffrences between living here in Europe and USA. There are a lot more than this but here are just a few to show all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends how lucky you are to have the stores and things you have. BE GRATEFUL!!

Oh yeah one more thing,
Elmo: Schnappi ( we have to learn him in german  )

ich bin schnappi das kelin krokodil
under eckts die egyptn
lus gets derickt under el um neil
los gets ur uhnin einen ein und wie, die snchappi ich bin klein;
schni schna scnhappi, schnappi , scnhppi, snchap!
(Yes, I had to learn that in german:)

My ( famous) baby Bama

Yes , this is my old beagle baby puppy Bama wearing James' doctor kit glasses. I just had to show this work of comedy photography I did. I love love love this picture of her. It makes me laugh everytime I see it. Bama is Twelve and a half going on thirteen, just like me. We grew up together in Alabama when we were both just little 9 month old babies. She has been through everything with me and I love her so much. I would really like to focus on taking pictures of her if I want to add more photos to the blog because she's really great at it. She is a top model, no joke. Here's proof of how famous Bama really was in her younger days and the amazing life she had.
Her first major hit was the many known Japan fenomenom called THE DOG photo shoot.
On the cover of her latest magazine, Beagles Calender 2012 ( it was originally photographed in 2008 but there debaating on if they should photoshop her because she looked so perfect)
And did you know Bama's Grandma was the inspiration for Snoopy? so of course, Bama became widely, insanely famous for that. Oh yeah, That's right. Since Bama became so widely famous, Alabama, the state, decided they should dedicate something to her since she was born there. So they named the biggest college in Alabama after her, oh yeah, she went there.
Ok so Bama had EVERYTHING except love , so she knew she needed to make a move, so of course why not the one and only Nationol dog championship winning Beagle , Uno. They fell madly in love and right away got married. Heres one excslusive picture Entertainment tonight doesn't even have
 Aren't they adorable!
Oh and get this, right after there honeymoon to St.Thomas they had three babie beagles named Uno jr. Fransua and Adela.
So after their children were born the president decided ( not Obama:) that there should be a statue of Bama and her children in honor of them.
They put it in Michigan in honor of where Uno was born.

So Bama's fabulous secret movie star life was about to come to an end because they were moving to Germany where people don't have papparazzi or posters of the Bama family. So before she went, Bama's children all did the movie Shiloh in dediction to their famous mother.

Bama knew it was time to say goodbye to this great life and let her kids and  husband have a quiet life for a change when they moved to Germany. Their they bought this house next to ours and live their.
So Bama and Uno had their last red carpet event  in the hills together.
Now they live in Germany peacefully together. Uno and her kids are never shown in Pictures anymore because Bama feels they don't need the glitz and glam no more.

You may ask how do I know this, Will obviously one reason is because I'm her agent and reason number two, well..... Lets just say her agent has a great imaginitive mind:)

day 6 ~

I guess it's like how your weight changes with what your splits looks like. It depends on what you did that day. That's probably why they all look so diffrent.
